175 Goal Machine linked – this is the ideal signing for Tottenham

We have speculated recently about several striker show have been linked to Tottenham in the last month. With everyone except Kane looking pants up top, noone would be surprised if MoPo did bring in another striker in January.

And the player to be linked in the latest news cycle is probably to most exciting yet.

Latest reports tease that Tottenham want Jackson Martinez:

TOTTENHAM are looking to sell Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor to fund an audacious £40million offer for Porto striker Jackson Martinez.

If this whole tale is true then hallelujah! Emmanuel Adebayor has, in truth, been a decent player for Tottenham. But you can’t help but think that he has one eye on his next move now. And it just hasn’t happened for Robert, whose head has now well and truly gone.

As for Martinez – well will someone please take a punt on this lad. He’s scored at a prolific rate and his club goal tally currently stands at 175 in 321 games. That puts him amongst the highest goals to games ratio in top level football. He also has a creditable 10 in 35 for Colombia.

Perhaps there is a weakness in his game that has turned top clubs off him. But someone will have a punt at some stage and why not Tottenham? Anyone who scores this many goals is worth a shout. And if you give him the ball anywhere near the goal he will probably hit the target.

We think Kane needs some new strike buddies and this guy is ripe for a move. If Tottenham don’t act now they could seriously regret this one.

Let’s see Martinez in action. Tottenham fans: stick or twist?

Why punt? buy Charlie Austin who is proven in the EPL and who would prove to be a bargain.

I agree with Brian – bring in Charlie Austin or Danny Ings (both proven strikers in the EPL).
