Great Stuff

Manchester United fans. Prepare to be happy. Because, after an unbelievably bad season in terms of injuries, Louis van Gaal has given his best report yet, in his weekly press conference on Friday afternoon.

When asked what the latest situation was with injuries the Manchester United manager said:

I’m very happy with your question

Because we have only one player injured. Can you beleive it? Only one.

I have to select for the first time in my career in Manchester United the 11 and the 18 players.

When asked who the player was he told us that it was Ashley Young who will be out for another 4 weeks at least.

It comes as sensational news to Manchester United fans who expected players like Luke Shaw, Antonio Valencia and Rafael to be out for the game against Southampton at Old Trafford this Sunday.

It also means that players like Marouane Fellaini and Daley Blind are back in contention for what is beginning to look like a very healthy squad indeed. With all of the strikers and Angel di Maria fit it will be absolutely fascinating to see what the Manchester United manager deems as his strongest 11 against a very good side.

With a fully fit squad Manchester United may see themselves as outside contenders for the title and they must now press on if they going to have any hope of catching the top two before May.

Manchester United fans: do you think that the squad is now strong enough for Manchester United to contend the title this season or are more January signings needed for the defence in particular?
