Manchester United star picks out team mates who are ‘scary to play against’

Scary Indeed

This ‘process’ that Louis van Gaal has been banging on about may just have legs after all. The wonderful Manchester United coach told us it would take time to mould the team in his image. And, dare we say, his charges finally seem to be embracing the philosophy as the team gathers momentum.

Of course Manchester United are only one bad result away from another crisis. But the manner of the victory against Hull spoke of a team capable of going on a big run and righting the wrongs of the last 18 months.

LvGs job has been made immeasurably more difficult by the ridiculous injury list. But Michael Carrick – another crucial returning influence over the last fortnight – reckons that three players in particular can wreak havoc on The Premier League when fit:

“When you have Robin scoring and Wayne scoring and Falcao coming off the bench and nearly scoring, we’ll be a threat to anyone,” he said.

“You want those boys when they’re flying and it’s scary to play against.

It’s been impossible to get all three fit and firing at once so far this season. Many believe that when they are all back that it will be a case of either/or with RvP and Radamel Falcao. But it seems ridiculous not to use three such world class players together and we think that LvG agrees.

If RvP’s form continues to improve he will stay in the side. Rooney is a guaranteed starter. And no team in the world could leave Falcao out of their starting XI when fully fit.

So the next few months could be exceedingly fruitful and enjoyable for Manchester United if these three can get game time together and develop an understanding. It’s about time United started dominating again to restore the natural order!
