Perhaps every team has one. But it just doesn’t seem to suit Manchester United’s style to have a player like Marouane Fellaini – a true destroyer in the middle of the park.
Here he is playing for Belgium against Wales and going straight through Liverpool man Joe Allen.

We aren’t suggesting that the Manchester United man goes out of his way to do damage.
Perhaps it’s best to describe Fellaini as a poor technician but a hugely competitive athlete. When he is flummoxed by superior technique he usually fouls through clumsiness or desire to get the ball back. Here he is, post-battering of Allen. Who me?
He has made more of an impact for Manchester United of late but we feel that it’s the technical side of his game that needs the quickest improvement if he is to have a long term future at the club.
For Fellaini’s sake we hope that, in years to come, his image isn’t immediately associated with a fallow period in Manchester United’s history.
United fans: Does the team need this kind of enforcer or is top quality technique a pre-requisite of any great Manchester United midfielder?
