Barcelona’s Best XI vs Almeria and injury update

Barca

Back on track?

After such an immaculate start to La Liga season the last fortnight has been a bit of a damp squib for Barcelona. The defeats by Real Madrid and the bizarre loss to Celta Vigo at the Camp Nou are ones to forget.

But the defeat of Ajax in the week spoke of a revival and more valuable game time for Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan was strangely subdued in front of goal but his sharpness will undoubtedly return in the next few weeks.

What Barcelona need now is another confidence gaining victory before the next international break.

On the injury front, we can’t expect to see Vermaelen, Mathieu or Iniesta back before the internationals so the team should look very similar tot he one which defeated Ajax.

Mascherano is ever dependable in defence and Bartra will probably continue alongside him with Gerard Pique the subject of much transfer speculation and frozen out of the team.

Rakitic, Xavi and Busquets should continue in midfield and we are expecting a win for Barcelona and a goal for Suarez at a plucky Almeria.

Here’s our strongest XI. Barcelona fans: Thoughts please.
