Barcelona played well against Real Madrid in El Classico. But you can’t help feeling that this Madrid side is simply more powerful than anything else in Europe right now.
That doesn’t mean that they will win La Liga and The Champions League. Accidents will still happen this season and, however good you are as a football team, you need luck to win medals.
Barcelona, are still close to the very top but they need to sign a couple more game changers for their midfield in the long term to replace the waning Xavi and Iniesta.
Reports in the English press on Monday suggest that Barcelona are attempting just this with the signing of Dutch youngster Daley Sinkgraven, although there are a catalogue of other top teams interested:
Ajax, Manchester United, Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all keeping tabs on 19-year-old Heerenveen midfielder Daley Sinkgraven.
Barcelona is still top of the list for most young players and he looks like the sort of player who could fit in at the Camp Nou. He’s silky, technically astute, quick thinking and highly creative. He might well be worth snapping up early. As we know, however, early for Barcelona means January 2016 when their transfer ban currently expires.
Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Barcelona fans: worth a punt?
