We are very much of the opinion that Mario Balotelli needs to be given the requisite love and attention as he can still make a great mark on Liverpool.
Even when Daniel Sturridge returns, an on form Balotelli can still make the team – either alongside the Englishman or with Sturridge a little further left in a three man attack. Some have been way to quick to write the Italian off but he’s still a top talent at his best.
But Liverpool are still clunky and aren’t scoring freely. They may look to invest again in January according to The Daily Star, with the agent of one reported target, Keita Balde Diao of Lazio, suggesting that his client is growing frustrated in Italy:
LIVERPOOL are considering a big money move for Arsenal target Keita Balde Diao in January.
Ulisse Savini has revealed that his client is currently contemplating his future at the Stadio Olimpico, and has hinted that he could be open to a move away from Rome.
He said: “It’s premature to start having conversations like this after only three games, but if he does end up losing the next few months we will have to re-think things.”
At just 19 this product of the Barcelona youth set up would be yet another gamble on the transfer front for Liverpool. While he looks like a livewire forward with guile and speed, he’s not going to guarantee to hit the back of the net on a reg at his age.
While Brendan Rodgers was clearly playing the long game, we still think that he should have brought summer signing Divock Origi straight into the fold in the summer. From what we saw in Brazil this lad is ready and could have improved Liverpool immediately.
But that wasn’t to be and Diao represents another exciting prospect. Let’s see him in action. Liverpool fans: is he what you need?
