Spanish sports daily Sport.es says that Barcelona are keen on a young striker who is making waves in his homeland.
Gabriel Barbosa Almeida, or simply Gabigol, is one of the most pleasant surprises from the Brazilian season.
The Santos striker, who turned 18 on August 30, has a glorious future and has been linked with a move to Barcelona.
The report says that the deal which took Neymar to Barcelona has also given them first option to sign Gabigol, who is the current top scorer in The 2014 Brasileirao with 5 goals. In total he’s scored 18 goals in 50 senior appearances – a remarkable feat for a player who has just turned 18.
He is said to be strongest as a number 10 and he looks as if he all the qualities to succeed at Barcelona – great feet, real pace on the move and an unerring finish in front of goal. He also looks as if he is equally happy creating as he is scoring goals.
