Sunderland have done some decent business in the transfer market this summer but they look desperate to add more bodies before September.
Last season was largely a shambles and had it not been for their title winning form in the last month of the season they would surely be playing Championship football right now.
But the brilliant Gus Poyet steered Sunderland in the right direction and now they’re looking to add at least two or three more names before the start of the season, in an attempt to finish in a decent top half of the table position come May.
One player who has been linked to the last 24 hours is Paolo Guerrero. The Peruvian international, who has 49 caps for his country, has been the subject of interest from West Ham in the last week but The Daily Mail reckons Sunderland are also keen:

This guy comes from good stock. He’s played for Bayern Munich and Hamburg and also has 19 goals for his country. He’s a natural finisher, the like of which Sunderland could definitely use this season.
