Everton have of course done big business this summer already. But you do feel that they still require some players to provide better quality service into their record signing Romelu Lukaku.
And while much of the energy of been spent on securing that deal Roberto Martinez now has his hands free to add a couple more bargains.
And he may well be on the cusp of getting a great one as The Express reports today:
Everton preparing second loan move for Barcelona starlet Gerard Deulofeu
The winger returned to the Nou Camp, hoping to win a place under Luis Enrique, but reports in Spain claim that the new boss has not been impressed during Barcelona’s pre-season.
Impressed or not, Everton would surely snap him up again should they get the chance. Another year into his development he could have even more impact on the team this time around. As a starter, or off the bench, this guy tends to thrill with his great technique and slaloming runs into the penalty area. He also delivers quality balls into the forwards.
With such a big outlay already this summer Everton will probably make use of the loan market again and Roberto Martinez seems to be a master of it. The temporary acquisition of Deulofeu would represent a major fillip for the Spaniard as he seeks to consolidate and somehow improve on last season.
Let’s see some Deulofeu in action. Everton fans: no-brainer?

I thought he’d been loaned to Sevilla?
