Manchester United: Wednesday, Transfer D-Day for world class target as he meets club president over future?

Big decisions

It has been reported this week in Spain that Wednesday could be a crucial day in the transfer dealings of Manchester United and Barcelona.

The two clubs reportedly have several of the same targets this summer, including Thomas Vermaelen, Daley Blind and Mats Hummels.

But perhaps the most prized potential asset for Barcelona and Manchester United is Fiorentina wide man Juan Cuadrado. Because this 26 year old is very special indeed. It’s not just the fact that he is one of the most skilled, dangerous and explosive wide men in Europe right now. But he also has the intelligence, stamina and speed to replace Dani Alves at Barcelona or add real fairy dust to Manchester United at wingback in Louis van Gaal’s 3-5-2 system.

Manchester United are desperate for a holding midfielder and a world class right wing back. Arturo Vidal seems like the perfect option in the engine room and few could match the quality of Cuadrado on the right.

We feel that Barcelona is the preferred option for the Spanish speaking Cuadrado but Manchester United are offering more money according to Sport.es who wrote this week that a crucial meeting between the player, club president and agent is set for Wednesday:

As of today, the offer from Louis van Gaal’s side in the most beneficial for the player. United will offer Fiorentina €35, without variables, but will seduce the player with an enormous contract. Additionally, his agent, Alessandro Luccis, would earn a nice sum of money from the Red Devils operation.

Wednesday could prove an important day. Cuadrado and Lucci will meet with the president of Fiorentina, Andrea Della Valle. It will be then when the Colombian’s future should take a definitive turn one way of another.

Whoever gets him will have a marvellous addition who will walk straight into the first XI and it does seem that, with two such big clubs tracking him, that a move is inevitable.

Let’s see the player in action. Manchester United and Barca fans: number 1 priority?
