Liverpool have made an approach for an absolute bargain – reports

Bargain alert

It’s all speeding up in the transfer market now that most teams have departed The World Cup. And with more TV money swishing around than ever, and Liverpool making a mint from the sale of Luis Suarez, Merseyside has already been and should continue to be one of the busiest places in England for transfer activity this summer.

Because replacing Luis Suarez is an impossible task. Just like when Manchester United lost Ronaldo, you can’t buy like for like so you have to approach it from a different angle.

Liverpool look as if they will do the sensible thing and improve their squad depth as the Uruguayan leaves the club. Up top they have bought Rickie Lambert and have been linked with Wilfried Bony.

But reports today suggest that they may steal in on an absolute bargain of a deal.

We are amazed that Loic Remy hasn’t been snapped up already this summer. But with Arsenal signing Alexis Sanchez they may have gone cold on the idea of Remy. Their loss. Because he’s a superb player who would improve any squad in The Premier League. The Metro reports Friday:

Liverpool are seemingly trying to hijack Arsenal’s deal for France striker Loic Remy after approaching QPR to discuss a deal.

…However, the Liverpool Echo says the Merseyside club have now made an approach to QPR to discuss a possible deal for the striker.

At 27 Remy is a fully fledged France international with 24 caps and 5 goals for his country. He also bagged 14 in 27 games in all competitions for Newcastle last season to prove his Premier League class.

We think that a deal for Remy would be a no-brainer and his fee looks very reasonable. Liverpool should do everything that they can to bag him because he can be one of the best buys of the summer.

Let’s see some highlights. Liverpool fans: interested?

How can Liverpool fans be happy with the rubbish Brendon Rodgers is
buying. He does not seem to be interested in buying class players. All he is interested in is buying second rate players. Selling Suarez and trying to buy Bony defies logic. If this is the mind set of scouts and the transfer committee then anyone could doo their jobs. You don’t need scouts and transfer committees to buy Bony and Lambert. Why don’t you ask a monkey to choose your transfer policy???
