Sensation

If only we had a say in Manchester United’s transfer dealings then the squad would beat all-comers!

Of course it seems simple from afar but the apparent overlooking of Tony Kroos and Barcelona’s brilliant Cesc Fabregas leaves more questions than answers about a crucial summer of transfer business.

We think that the new Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has his eyes on several Holland players who he will have ample opportunity to speak to about moving to Old Trafford this summer. But aside from Arjen Robben, who has committed his future to Bayern, none of the reported Dutch targets are wingers.

And we keep banging on about the fact that Manchester United desperately need better quality out wide. Many believe that United are most in need of central midfielders but any of the current crop can ping a beautiful ball out to the wings if the wide men are in the right positions. Problem is that they haven’t been for the last couple of years.

For our money, if United sorted out their wing play they would be a completely different proposition. More dynamic and dangerous on the counter and much more prolific in front of goal due to better service into the box. Lest we forget, Manchester United have two of the world’s best centre forwards.

Marca reports that Barcelona’s brilliant winger Alexis Sanchez could move this summer.

Despite having enjoyed a good season with Barcelona (21 goals from 52 games). Alexis Sánchez is one of the possible players to leave the Camp Nou this summer to drum up the much-needed cash for Barça’s promised renovation project.

The report suggests that Juventus are keen to take him back to Italy. But, if he’s available, Manchester United simply have to pull out all the stops to sign him this summer.

Juventus will, of course, be in The Champions League next season but it’s hard not to be excited Louis van Gaal’s new project at Manchester United. While Juve are slowly returning to their previous status, Manchester United could be back at the top of the European pile within 2 years.

Sanchez has pace, power, sublime skill and a brilliant final ball. He also showed against Atletico Madrid, in one of the La Liga’s title deciders, that he has a sensational eye for goal.

Having scored 21 for Barca this season he just looks like the perfect player as a conventional winger or on either side of a 4-3-3.

If Alexis Sanchez does leave Barcelona this summer it would be an absolute crime if Manchester United didn’t pursue him – he’s tailor-made for the club.

Let’s see the lad in action. Manchester United fans – would you bring Sanchez to Old Trafford?
