Forget Wilson: This was by far Manchester United’s best player against Hull

What a star

Young James Wilson took all the plaudits with his two goal debut for Manchester United against Hull City on Tuesday evening.

He was in the right place at the right time for both goals – the second being a tap in.

The finish for the first goal was really special and reminded us all of Robin Van Persie at his clinical best with that deadly left boot.

But, exciting debuts aside, there was a far better performer for Manchester United against Hull.

After a spell out of the side Adnan Januzaj came back in and absolutely terrorised the opposition defence all night.

He showed such football intelligence and the natural skill to match.

Time and again he skinned the defence with a beautiful first touch when receiving the ball.

He also looked less leggy and foal-like than when he first came into the Manchester United side last autumn. He’s bulked up and his pace also seems to have improved.

We have heard about how incoming Dutch manager Louis van Gaal loves to bring in and develop youth in his first-team.

With form like this Januzaj will surely be emblematic of the first season of Louis van Gaal at Manchester United.

Expect one or two wingers to come in but Januzaj will get a lion’s share of game time next season as his game improves week on week, and with the experience of a World Cup potentially under his belt.

The boy is pure class and will bring Manchester United fans to their feet for many a year.

Adnan is definitely filling out and getting physically stronger, as you do at that age. I think that’s the best I’ve seen him play. Exciting to think how good he could become in the next few years.

he made it that night and i still believe he will be there, he is a brilliant boy in the pitch if he’s having the ball. United should get another kind of Paul Scholes as we have seen his impact of gettin United the Champion last season after resizing back to the squad at almost the middle of the game. United forever

When United was under-performing under Moyes, the only player that made me spare some time to watch some of their matches was Adnan! I love the wizkid so much!!!
