Usually Manchester United fans can’t wait for the next game. But this year they simply can;t wait for it to all be over. A wretched campaign just seems to keep getting worse.
David Moyes steered the ship into the rocks and most Manchester United fans were relieved to see the back of him. But a week into Ryan Giggs’s tenure and the temporary feel good factor once more evaporated as Manchester United lost to Sunderland at Old Trafford.
Tonight many believe that several players will be playing their swan song at Old Trafford. We know that Vida is on his way to Inter. But the futures of Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra are also the subject of much doubt.
Let’s hope, for their sake, that Manchester United give the fans something to shout about tonight.
