We think that it’s a crying shame that Wilfried Zaha hasn’t been given more chances at Manchester United so far.
With a set of overpaid and lacklustre right wingers at the club Manchester United need some fresh impetus down that side. The club spent £15 million on Zaha but, so far, he has only had a few minutes of first-team action. There must be some fatal weakness in his game, that we can’t see, because David Moyes simply doesn’t want to pick him.
All the talk has been about him being loaned out in January to another Premier League club. This picture, which has been doing the rounds online, isn’t going to help his chances at Manchester United.
The picture shows the Zaha apparently smoking at a party. There is obviously no way of telling the date of the photograph – so it could be an old shot. But it’s the last thing that Zaha will want to see online right now after getting so few chances at Manchester United this season.
Let’s hope David Moyes doesn’t frown upon the photograph because he already seems underwhelmed by the player.
