Liverpool won’t spend too much time thinking about the defeat to Arsenal last weekend. They couldn’t have chosen a worst time to go to The Emirates and whatever Arsenal achieve this season they are unlikely to find better form than they are in right now.
Liverpool are also one of the form teams in The Premier League and will be looking to push on against a Fulham team that is really struggling at the moment.
Bereft of fight and form Fulham are in danger of getting involved in a relegation scrap this season. It seems impossible to imagine, with such quality in the squad, but Martin Jol really isn’t getting enough out of his players right now.
They are going to have to turn a corner soon but you can’t imagine it happening at Anfield against Liverpool today. We’re expecting a comfortable home win for Liverpool – particularly if they can get an early goal.
