Man U

Time up for Manchester United star?

Please please leave this club and don’t come back!

David Moyes has now had a decent amount of time to assess his squad. He will now have his favourites and also players that he has no time for.

To be fair to Moyes, apart from the strangely treated Wilfred Zaha, he seems to have given everybody in the squad a decent run out.

One player he seemed to favour at the start of his reign at Manchester United, but has since gone cold on, is Ashley Young. Lots of Manchester United fans seemed annoyed with Young’s diving antics in the week. But surely that’s not the main problem. Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t alien to theatrics when he was at Manchester United.

But that was of course forgiven because Ronaldo was such a brilliant player for the club. Ashley Young’s diving could be overlooked if he was a vital cog in the Manchester United machine. But, in truth, he is absolutely pants.

Manchester United wingers are supposed to be full of guile, athleticism and finesse. Ashley Young is certainly a good athlete but that’s really where his qualities end.

He’s seldom be able to beat a man, rarely gets his boots white and cuts inside far too often. He will score you the odd goal from a decent position but, overall, we think he is one of the worst players to play for United in the last decade.

David Moyes can’t wait for players like Nani and Ashley Young to finally step up to the plate. It’s time to get rid of them and bring in some wingers who do what wingers are supposed to.

It’s not a complicated job. You simply need to get down the line quickly and knock some decent deliveries in to the box, where two of the best strikers in the world will be waiting to gobble up the chances. What is so difficult about that?

Even having been at the club for over two years Ashley Young still doesn’t seem to understand this. He appears to think that his job is to receive the ball and then pass it back to Patrice Evra. Not good enough. Time for a move in our opinion.

Are there any Manchester United fans out there who still want Young at the club?
