Arsenal to lose striker and buy a keeper – report

It’s only The Sun, but it’s worth reporting if only to get your synapses firing, as to who could arrive at Arsenal this summer. The tabloid reckons that The Gunners face a fight to hold onto Lukas Podolski, with Juventus and Atletico Madrid both interested in taking the player this summer.

The Sun says that despite scoring 13 goals and providing 10 assists, the player

‘has fallen out of favour with boss Arsene Wenger and his previous three Premier League appearances have been from the bench.’

In truth he hasn’t exactly set the world alight since he joined Arsenal and it wouldn’t come as a great shock if he did depart. He looks like the sort of forward who, given good service, should bang the goals in for fun. But his international record has always been superior to his club stats. He can look a bit one paced and conventional. Arsenal perhaps need a striker with a little more guile.

Meanwhile the highly speculative Daily Mail reports that Barcelona expect a bid from Arsenal for their 31 year old stopper Victor Valdes. The player has been instrumental in Barca’s success over the last 5 years but has just one year left on his contract. The quoted fee for his services is £8.5m.

If Arsenal and Wenger does not buy best news players, your following especially in Africa will fade out. You have sold so may players and have spent almost nil in buying new players.

Mr Wenger, dont forget that we missed many chances by poor goalkeeper like Almunia, Lehman etc, why again you are unready again, schezny is good but QPR goal keeper(Julios Cesar) is at your hand. Goal kepper today is more than any player to trophy;;; GOAL KEEPER,GOALKEEPER
