The 23 year old Lyon central defender has drawn covetous glances from across Europe with some uber solid displays at the back for the French club this season. With 16 caps for Croatia he already has good experience despite his tender years.
It’s easy to see why Liverpool would want to sure up that area of the side. Although Daniel Agger continues to perform to a decent level, question marks have hung over Martin Skrtel all season. Chelsea have also had an unusually porous defence this season and could provide serious competition for his signature.
The same source quotes Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade as saying that he is interested in taking Fabio Borini back to his homeland. After a debut season saturated by injury The Italian has made barely a mark in the hearts of The Liverpool fans so far, but will surely want to stick around a bit longer to see if he can turn it around.
