News has just broken that Everton have agreed a deal for Dutch international midfielder Leroy Fer from Twente fro around £8.5m.
The Everton new boy has been likened to Arsenal legend Patrick Viera but, for all the Frenchman’s qualities, I don’t remember Viera being this prolific in front of goal.
The 6ft 2in number 8 has scored 10 goals in just 29 games since joining Twente from Feyenoord in 2011. The 23 year old also has a couple of full international caps.
If Leroy Fer continues on this path, he will surely become a swash buckling, box to box fan favourite with the Everton faithful before long.
