After a lengthy process, not helped by the level of interest from other parties, Manchester United have finally agreed terms with Crystal Palace for the transfer of livewire winger Wilfried Zaha.
The Guardian reports that the transfer fee could reach £15m with add ons and Zaha will make a tidy £35k per week at Old Trafford – not bad for a 20 year old.
There was talk that The Football League might not allow Zaha to be loaned back to Crystal Palace for their promotion push this season but, as expected, the lad will stay with The Eagles until June.
With Nani, Young and Valencia all currently misfiring, there had been calls for Zaha to join up with his new team mates immediately but the deal has been smoothed by Manchester United’s willingness to loan him back to Crystal Palace. So Manchester United fans will have to wait for a few months before seeing their new boy in United red.
Zaha has scored 5 goals (42 shots) in 27 games this season, with 4 assists.
