With such a thin squad in certain areas the winter transfer window will probably be a busy time for Liverpool FC. The most obvious area that needs bolstering is the attack and speculation will surely reach fever pitch with the advent of January.
But the Liverpool boss is already making moves to add to the defensive areas of the team. Reports today imply that FC Tokyo’s Jang Hyun-Soo is due in Liverpool in December for a trial, with a view to a permanent contract at Anfield.
The 6ft1in South Korean defender only has 6 appearances in the FC tokyo senior team but has played at every level as a youth international, scoring a few goals in the process.
He would apparently cost Liverpool in the region of £1m.
