Arsenal look to recover from blip

After a painful defeat against Chelsea at the weekend what better way to start the recovery than with a seemingly straightforward tie against Olympiakos? On paper it looks a stroll for Arsenal at The Emirates but Olympiakos have started like a train in their own league, with 5 wins out of 5, leaving them clear at the top of the table.

So hopefully Arsene won’t mess about with his team too much. He needs to keep it strong to consolidate Arsenal’s position at the top of the group after a narrow win at Montpellier in the first round of fixtures. With a testing trip to West Ham at the weekend Arsene will be wary of fatigue but, at this formative stage of the season, a lack of freshness shouldn’t be an issue.

In the other fixture involving an English side tonight, Manchester City will be desperate to put some points on the board after a cruel but slightly naive defeat against Real Madrid last time out. Borussia Dortmund are a strong side and won’t lie down. In Robert Lewandowski they have a player who can find the net even against top sides so Manchester City will need to attack with some caution. But we think that their desire to win should see them through. Here are all of our predictions for tonight.
