He seems to have been linked with every top club in the last 6 months or so but Fernando Llorente is still at Bilbao. After a really impressive campaign last year, punctuated by a mesmerising performance and goal against Manchester United, Llorente has piqued the interest of Europe’s elite – but, as yet, noone has taken the plunge.
The Guardian speculates today that Llorente could be making his way to Anfield in the winter window as Liverpool are set to beat off the competition for his signature. Liverpool clearly don’t have a huge amount of money to spend right now and Bilbao’s asking price may have already put other clubs off. The Spanish team don’t want to lose him but may have no choice but to sell to one of Europe’s giants.
We think that the reason he hasn’t yet moved is due to the fact that so much importance is put on pace in modern football. Llorente isn’t the fastest, but his touch, awareness and finishing ability surely makes up for that.
Anyway, enjoy his utterly beautiful goal against United again and watch this space for up to date news.

all these are stories that we have been hearing before now that Lfc are interested in Loriente but at the end nothing comes out and we are now finding ourselves short in our strike force, i also believe that Loriente and other quality strikers were there at the just concluded transfer window but rodgers did not opens his eyes to pick any of them except borini,so please forget writing of Lfc going for any player and let’s focus on how we can encourage our players to help us out before we found our club in the bottom of the league table.

I totally agree. We need a goal scorer free agent around Europe. even before january.to avoid this missin chancies of a thing, like they did against arsenal before they at last punish us.nothin like being d first 2 score.cos once u do.u ar in command 2 win any march.

Dempsey, 29 too old to buy at £6mill,
Llorente, 28 in Feb, approx cost £20-£30,
You really think FSG would sanction a move for him,, I DONT.

Liorente is not the right Striker for Liverpool. he`s the type of player that Carroll is. He will not fit in to the system we play. Rather have a player like Defoe or Bent at LFC:)

He won’t cost that much coz he only has a year left on his contract. By the turn of the year he’ll have 6 months. If we could get a good negotiator we could snap him up for peanuts.

Up Liverpool!!!
The best is that the coach need to play suarez as a winger and borini as a standin, also need to be restin Gerrard in some matches, “IF HE MUST SUCCESSED”
