Charlie Adam’s Liverpool career looks ever more doomed. According to The Daily Mail, Stoke have made a £4m bid for the player and Brendan Rodgers seems to have every intention of selling the player, in order to fund the acquisition of fresh blood, before the window slams closed on Friday night.
Despite having a mercurial left foot, Adam never quite looked like a top four player and his stay at Anfield looks all but over.
Another Kenny Dalglish signing who never quite made the grade, he made 28 appearances for Liverpool, scoring two goals in the process.
The Mail reports that Rodgers is looking to offload Andy Carroll, Adam and Stewart Downing, although the Liverpool boss has intimated of late that he would be prepared to play Downing at left-back in order to revive his first team chances.
It’s going to be frantic at Anfield for the next couple of days. We shall keep you abreast of developments.
