Tottenham – French striker linked

In response to questions about Tottenham’s recent interest Loic Remy has seemingly, subtley put himself on the market. He said that noone knows what his future holds, which usually means that a player is wide open to a transfer.

Spurs will have their hands full trying to sign the 25 year old French international as he appears to be one of the hottest properties in Europe right now. But with Pava gone, Adebayor only on loan and continued speculation about Defoe’s future, this is an area of the field that you would imagine Spurs to be concentrating most on in the summer months. Saha is no spring chicken either, so a long term main man up front is surely top of the wanted list.

As with many modern footballers Loic Remy, currently of Marseille, can play up top or as a second striker. He has also been known to plough the channels if asked. He has scored a goal every other game whilst at Marseille and is approaching 20 caps for his country, with a return of 4 goals.  He’s quick, he’s strong and, although he can play in a variety of positions, he looks to me like a finisher. Watch this space for more on Remy.
