Gossip: Liverpool in for this explosive striker?

There is speculation today surrounding the future of Anderlecht striker Dieumerci Mbokani. Apart from an indifferent spell at French club Monaco, the 26 year old from DR Congo has a sensational goal scoring record at club and international level.

With Dirk Kuyt dependable but seldom devastating, Andy Carroll continuing to confuse ,Craig Bellamy able but ageing and Raheem not ready, King Kenny may well look to re-enforce his striking options in the summer to find a perfect partner for the sublime Suarez.

Mbokani is not just a finisher. He’s also known as a powerful target man who puts himself about and could well profit in a physical football domain such as The English Premier League.

His agent Fabio Baglio was quoted in Sudpresse as saying ‘his (Mbokani’s) performances of recent weeks have rekindled the interest of great English clubs’

The article also suggests that Liverpool are the most interested of those teams and that the player could fetch as much as 15 to 20 million euros.

So do Liverpool need a player like this?

Yes, it will happen. King Kenny would finally put pen to paper and admit that he bought a DONKEY! You can always walk alone, but you can never f**k alone. YNFA.

I would rather have him than Kuyt, Henderson or Adam. Suarez and Carroll need competition. Besides, he is cheaper than most of this English crap!

We need more options other than the misfiring misfits so far… Suarez needs a partner, Carroll is a long way to grow up and stand up (wihtout alling down at the slightest touch), Kuyt is losing it a little, and I am sori to say, even SG is not scoring anymore than frompenalties.. Only one scoring is CB.. So, what are you waiting for… get a good striker, strong and is not afraid to try. YNWA

Strikers need confidence and Carroll currently lacks it. Signing him was always going to be a gamble as he hadn’t done the business year in year out. He had a superb 6 months at Newcastle and Kenny bought him on that basis. I still think he could find a home at Liverpool if he is given time. The biggest question I have is whether he has the technique to get to the very top.

Kidding 20 million euros for Mbokani he is rubbish Liverpool need top class right now not mid range over priced rubbish.
They need to find a young up and coming superstar or a proven striker from the stronger leagues.
