Weekend Pools Predictor 21 January

After flipping the nuts with a 374/1 shot 2 weeks ago, the soccersweep predictor missed out last week. We were a couple of results awry with the pools predictor and the soccersweep weekly special failed due to Tottenham drawing. This week provides more fixtures that are very hard to call. Thank goodness then that we use advanced maths to compute the outcomes. Not.

Oh well, it’s only one squid and we think it’s a better way to squander your hard earned than the lottery.

The Barclays Premier League, 21 January 2012

(15:00 unless stated)

Norwich vs Chelsea 12:45                   DRAW

Chelsea remain a little limp and whilst Norwich return to the heights of their heyday. Goss, Bayern etc.

Everton vs Blackburn 15:00              HOME WIN

Everton are due a win. Blackburn are due a defeat.

Fulham vs Newcastle 15:00               DRAW

Newcastle United are flying again but Fulham really need points.

QPR vs Wigan  15:00                             DRAW

QPR are counting on the arguably dubious ‘Hughes Effect’. Wigan are improving

Stoke vs West Brom 15:00                   HOME WIN

Two decent sides. Anything could happen. Let’s go with home advantage

Sunderland vs Swansea 15:00           HOME WIN

Sunderland to sneak it whilst Swansea catch their breath

Wolverhampton vs Aston Villa  15:00    DRAW

Virtually impossible to call. Time for some fence sitting

Bolton vs Liverpool 17:30                         DRAW

Kenny’s team could well sneak it but which Liverpool will turn up?

Man City vs Tottenham (Sun) 1330      HOME WIN

I’d like to think that Tottenham can get something and keep the title race interesting. But City will do to Tottenham what they did to Arsenal.

Arsenal vs Man Utd (Sun) 16:00               DRAW

The game of the weekend, not just because of the status of the teams. And not just because they both need three points. Nor solely because they both love to play the beautiful game. But also because Manchester United pulled Arsenal’s pants down at Old Trafford in the autumn and spanked their bottoms red raw. Arsenal weren’t able to sit down for weeks and will surely want revenge for the drubbing, whilst Manchester United can’t afford to drop many more points if they have realistic ambitions of the title. I can see Manchester United winning but not Arsenal. So soccersweep plumps for an exciting score draw.

A £1 bet on the above accumulator will win you over £14,000 at most bookmakers

soccersweep weekend special – Real Madrid, Barcelona, Celtic, Rangers, Southampton and West Ham all to win at around 9/1
