What a side

Manchester United fans are currently being drip fed with football. While the other big boys battle it out in Europe United are the stay at home title contenders and the squad must be desperate for more football.

Last weekend looked like the start of something special but United were playing very charitable opposition. Leicester, on their own pacth, will provide a much sterner test of Manchester United’s credentials.

After the early season slump United simply can’t afford anything less than a victory here as they continue to play catch up with the rest. All Manchester United need to do is keep their heads down and keep winning. As long as at least one of the title rivals is dropping points each week then United will soon be in a great position.

This weekend Manchester City and Chelsea meet so more points will be dropped. Manchester United must capitalise.

With players slowly returning to fitness the squad looks ever deeper but the team should look similar to last weekend.

Formation

We think that Louis will stick to the 4-3-3 which served him so well against QPR.

The forward line

Mata was at the tip of the diamond last week but Falcao is likely to start which means either he or RvP will be dropped. We have a feeling that RvP could make way but we believe that the strongest line up would have Rooney at the head of the diamond with RvP and Falcao up top. Slightly unfair on Mata who has played quite well and scored last weekend. But this is a world class front line and something may have to give.

Defence

Surely it’s time for Luke Shaw to make his debut? Chris Smalling is back but we think that Shaw will start with Rojo partnering the more experienced Jonny Evans in the middle.

What if mata instead of hererra in the starting 11? hererra as a fresh leg factor in second half..mata had been more consistent i think…plus, hererra shud take it easy for some time before he completely sets in In this physical football environment
