Breakthrough: Manchester United set to finalise the deal of the summer – report

Previously, on Arturo Vidal

Ok. It is just tabloid speculation at the moment. And with Manchester United not having a great record in bringing top talent to the club over the last five years (RvP apart of course) the fans will be taking all such gossip with a handful of salt until they see the player gleaming from ear to ear with an over-sized Manchester United shirt in his hands – why are the shirts always too big for the player when he has his publicity shots on signing?

But the latest reports on the dream signing, Arturo Vidal, are that his agent has flown over to Manchester to tie up a deal for his player. Talk about unnecessary carbon footprint. Surely Vidal’s agent could have used a phone?

The Star says:

Arturo Vidal set to COMPLETE Man Utd move as agent jets in to finalise £47m deal

ARTURO VIDAL’S move to Manchester United edged closer last night after his agent jetted in to finalise the switch.

The report suggests that a £120,000 week salary has been agreed and that the player wants to move. Manchester United could certainly use this guy.

The Metro adds to the speculation on Friday by quoting a respected player agent who confirms that Vidal will leave his cub this summer.

‘Vidal will leave,’ he told Sky Italia.

‘I’m convinced that he will leave this summer.’

D’Amico does not represent Vidal but does represent other Juventus players – and has close links with the club’s board and their dealings.

It’s hard to imagine a better fit for the engine room that this guy. He could be an absolute titan for Manchester United.

But with rumours persisting about a move for Kevin Strootman in January, we still wonder how keen Manchester United actually are on signing the brilliant yet expensive Chilean.

Let’s see some more Vidal skills to kill time while we wait for more news. Manchester United fans: a must buy?

There is no “unlimited budget” We’ve heard the same bullshit from Gill/Ferguson and Woodward/Moyes. According to The Scum, The Glazers may even now be arguing amongst themselves about selling all their United shares and holdings… potentially resulting in mass fratricide ….well, can’t blame a bloke for dreaming!

Been hearing rumours for years let’s face facts it’s all crap, nothing ever materialises with the worlds best players and never will while the glazers are incharge , Woodward is just a yes man for the invisible yanks and just tells us what we all want hear, and before you no it another transfer window passes utd by. Lvg must no we need strenthening at the back and at centre midd, but is latest press conferance says he’s happy with current playing staff, that should tell us all we need to no , let’s just get on with the season and unfortunately watch city and Chelsea fight it out for a title we won’t have a sniff of challenging for

Having Vidal as Man Utd player will be a great pleasure for Utd as Utd supporter, this will make our long time problem of currect number six to be solved. The likes of Kagawa, Matta, Carrick and other midfielders will make a surcessful line up for Man Utd with the traditional 4, 4, 2, formation because they all can play parfectly with good play like Vidal. Rooney, Van Pasie, Hanerdez will now be our top attackers for the surcess in this season.

I totally agree with Mos, i dont understand why all this delay of star deal to bring Di Maria to Man Utd which “ll replicate the signing of Van Pasie. We need Di M and extra two top defenders if we want
to be on top our game. Rumours about Vidal is becoming more popular than the player himself. Quick action plz.UP UTD
