Manchester United have signed Radamel Falcao says BBC

Well perhaps Ed Woodward wasn’t just giving it the big one when he talked of Manchester United spending megabucks this sumer.

When Angel Di Maria signed for nigh on £60m most thought that this would be the one and only marquee signing for United this summer.

But, reports are building that Manchester United have done a deal to sign the player in a sensational deal for 65m Euro. Other reports suggest it’s a one year loan.

The question with Falcao is whether they can afford not to buy him. If Manchester City or Arsenal got the player then they would be so far ahead of United that it would be hard to bridge that gap. Top football expert Guillem Balague tweeted and spoke on Sky Sports today that the deal had been done:

and The BBC says:

Manchester United have agreed to sign Colombia striker Radamel Falcao on loan from Monaco, subject to a medical.

The 28-year-old has been linked throughout the summer with a move away from the French Ligue 1 side, who he joined for £50m in May 2013.

Falcao has scored 11 goals in 20 appearances for Monaco.

If it does come off it’s an incredible deal that will bring a true A-lister into the side. Apparently it could still be a loan deal but we will get clarification as soon as possible.

This will totally bring Manchester United back to the forefront of the English game in one fell swoop.

Woodward has proven that he is indeed the man united should trust. He stood by his words. He said he was going to spend and he did.But he hasn’t finished with the business as we still need a strong and box to box midfielder. He should try and get us at least Nigel de jong for us this time so that we can go in for strooman in January.
