No Way Man

Whether he’s dazzling on the pitch or (reportedly) offering four figures for a night with the gorgeous Paddy McNair, it’s virtually impossible to keep Andreas Pereira out of the news these days.

But the story that counts, for Manchester United fans anyway, is about whether he signs a new contract at Old Trafford.

With his contract due to expire this summer, Manchester United are perilously close to losing the sensational 19 year old. And the club will surely do everything that they can to avoid a repeat of the nightmare scenario which saw Paul Pogba leave for a nominal fee in 2012.

The Daily Mail reckons that the top brass at Manchester United have now offered the lad an improved contract after his agent and father turned down the last.

United, meanwhile, are understood to have made a revised contract offer to Andreas Pereira.

Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord have all made contact with the teenage midfielder’s father Marcos after the 19-year-old rejected United’s opening offer.

We think that this lad has the lot. He’s got the natural ability and physique to go with the superb football brain and, having turned out for the Brazil U20s, he looks destined for the very top providing he stays focused and doesn’t let the hype go to his head and start having massive midweek McNair parties.

Manchester United would be mad to let this lad go as he has the sort of inventiveness that has been lacking at times from the creative areas of the park.

Let’s see him at his best.
