After the miserable time that he has had at the club in the beginning of his Manchester United career Marouane Fellaini must have felt that he was cursed when he got pulled over last weekend.

Because, after finally beginning to find some form a place in the team, the last thing Fellaini needed was to get in hot water with the police. But a statement has been released by The Greater Manchester Police which details a near miss for the Belgian after the Liverpool game last weekend.

“Shortly after 5.20am on December 15 officers stopped a Mercedes.

“The driver was given a breath test and arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol.

“Following the results of a second breath test conducted in police custody the man was de-arrested.”

They are reportedly referring to Fellaini. It seems that, after the second test, it was clear that Fellaini was not driving under the influence. But 15 officers! And 5:20AM. Do yourself a favour Marouane and GET TO BED LAD!

The Manchester United man only made 21 appearances, if which some were as sub, in a first season blighted by injury and poor form. But, despite retaining many dissenters, Fellaini has been much improved this season and seems reinvigorated by new Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal, after a decent World Cup in Brazil.

There remains questions over his technique however and he still has much to do to prove himself in this Manchester United side.
