Manchester United: LVG must pick this man every week to win silverware

Falcao hasn't done enough this season

Superb

We predicted that this could be a big weekend in the career of Radamel Falcao and so it proved. Falcao didn’t score a dramatic winner and Manchester United didn’t win the game. But the Colombian did enough to suggest that he can be the future of this great club.

He is still way off top form after a nightmare injury sell over the last year. But you could see from his tireless performance against Aston Villa that his fitness and instincts are getting sharper with every minute of game time. And his finish was that of a master of his craft.

Falcao used the power on the cross to great effect, powering it back towards where it came from and into the net. It was a finish of great composure which did enough to remind the boss that he demands minutes for Manchester United and will score if he does get games.

The goal will also come as a mighty relief for the player with has suffered the most frustrating start to his Manchester United career – his reaction to scoring said it all.

Falcao can take Manchester United to the next level if he stays fit. He can make them more ruthless and decisive up top and put the opposition on the back foot with his movement and bursts of brilliance.

So we feel that we are finally about to see the blossoming of a great career at Manchester United. If he says fit United fans will soon be wondering how on earth they ever coped without Radamel Falcao.

Let’s see his performance against Villa.
