World stars linked to Tottenham arrival

Big names coming?

With Holland manager Louis van Gaal apparently courting Manchester united interest of late Tottenham seem to have gone cold on the idea of making in their next manager.

As we stated recently we believe that are younger manager with new ideas might be a more efficient choice for Tottenham at this time. AVB and Sherwood haven’t overwhelmed but that doesn’t mean that the policy of bringing in youngish managers with a modern approach should change.

Some think Tim Sherwood would be a fine choice to continue while we think that Mauricio Pochettino would make a great Tottenham boss.

Another relative youngster who has been doing the rounds in relation to the Tottenham managerial post of late is Frank De Boer of Ajax.

And reports from The Daily Mail suggest that De Boer may make the somewhat controversial decision to bring Dennis Bergkamp and Jaap Stam with him to Tottnenham.

Dennis Bergkamp could do the unthinkable and join Frank de Boer at Tottenham this summer, according to a source close to the Ajax manager.

De Boer will hold talks with Spurs about becoming their next manager – and he could bring Arsenal legend Bergkamp with him to White Hart Lane.

Asked whether De Boer would bring Bergkamp and Jaap Stam, the former Manchester United defender who is also his assistant at Ajax, with him to Spurs, Schreuder refused to rule out such a move.

‘Jaap Stam, for example, is working with Frank de Boer and he’s (supposed to be) going to Milan – but maybe he’s coming with De Boer to England.

While some Tottenham fans might have a problem with Dennis Bergkamp arriving at the club there is no doubt that he could impart no end of wisdom to the creative players.

Another Arsenal legend Patrick Viera is now strongly affiliated with Manchester City and that seems to have worked out pretty well for all concerned despite initial concerns about split loyalties.

At the other end of the park we can’t remember too many better defenders in Premier League history than Jaap Stam.

If these two can direct the players half as well as they played the game then Tottenham could be an altogether more coherent unit next season under Frank de Boer.

Tottenham fans: who is your preferred choice of manager next season? And could you suffer Bergkamp at the club?

I would love de boar as manager, great experience and he could convince vertonghen and eriksen to stay. I would also love bergkamp to join, it would be hilarious and he would be a good coach

Danny Dubrastein would make a great manager. Backed up by Larry David. Michael J Fox should also be considered, he would keep the club shaken up.

Yes Frank de Boer will do a great job for us as he has the experience of management behind him
and there is a very good chance he could bring in some Ajax players with him coupled with maybe Denis Bergkamp and Japp Stam it might well be just the thing Spurs need, after all it cant be any worse than the last two muppets we’ve had COYS
