Where will Tottenham finish? Season predictions

We are so pleased that Mauricio Pochettino has come in to Tottenham. We think that he’s a perfect fit for a club who loves to attack but doesn’t always close the door behind them when charging up the field.

Pochettino too has an adventurous and sometimes risky way of setting his team out. But, if he can instil confidence in his players then the pressing game, high up the park, can be successful at Spurs.

That’s not to say that Tottenham are going to win the league. Finishing in the top four will be difficult enough. And when you look at the top five clubs in England – Arsenal, Chelsea, City, United and Liverpool – The Champions League challenge is enormous.

On the flip side, Tottenham can take heart from Everton’s performance last season. They were a couple of results, and a couple of players, shy of breaking into that top 4. At least one of those big 5 will have a disappointing season so Spurs just need a good start. After that the sky is the limit.

Tottenham have bought in a few players and possibly need another couple of strikers. But this is already a very talented squad indeed – if a little dormant right now.

If ‘Mau-Po’ can begin to get the best out Soldado, Lamela and the returning Andros Townsend then Tottenham will frighten all comers.

In reality it my take the new man another year to really challenge the elite but we think that this will, nevertheless, be seen as a season of progress for Tottenham.

Tottenham fans: what are your expectations for the season?

Tottenham prediction:

EPL: 6th
Europa League: Winners
FA Cup: QF
League Cup: QF

I think Liverpool will have problems replacing Suarez’s 31 goals even with all their high profile signings and while Rodgers is adamant that he can integrate 6-7 new signings, we know how hard it is to get that many new players, have them adapt to the manager’s footballing philosophy and strike up a coherent partnership with the other team members. So I think we will finish 5th above Liverpool. Not sure LVG will have a successful first season at Man U right off the bat. So if it takes the first few months for the players to take on LvG’s notoriously difficult system, then a slow start for Man U can open the door for Spurs to slip into 4th spot. Of course, it is within the nature of every Lillywhite supporter to have that perennial sense of hope for the upcoming season, so realistically 5th or 6th is our most likely end point but the future is bright and the future is lilywhite. COYS!

Hopefully Kabaul can stay fit!! And hope that Liverpool and Everton have bad starts! As they have the worst first few fixtures!!

i think they will finish within top 5..n if they start good..then top 3 is a possibility…! we need another striker…but bringing in another world class defender should be the priority! Hope the manager brings the best out of our players…like he did at so’ton!
    COYS!

Would be fantastic to win the Europa but if the rest of your prediction is right then I for one will wish the season over as quickly as possible, I know we are starting all over and need to be patient but those predictions spell failure again, remember we have waited over half a century to win the league and long gone are the days when the match of the season was spurs v manu.

That’ll do me, champions league, its all about advancing slowly in our financial postition compared to the rest, get champs lge and the money that goes with it and improve
