Tottenham Update: Dzagoev, Defoe and the big one

In todays’s Tottenham news Talksport are of the opinion that AVB is after Russian schemer Alan Dzagoev. He’s been linked to at least half of the clubs in the Prem over the last few years but noone has yet followed through with their reported interest.

The radio station says that Tottenham have gone as far as to make a bid of just under £14m for the player and look set to beat Juventus to his signature.

Closer to home, Spurs striker Jermaine Defoe has moved to quash speculation about problems within the Tottenham camp:

The manager has been great with all the players. What I like about him is that every game has a different approach. You know how exactly we’ve got to play, when we’ve got the ball and not got the ball’…….’Has he been good for me? He has been good for everyone.’

Meanwhile, after two seemingly interminable weeks of internationals, it’s back to the glorious Premiership. There’s no argument about the game of the weekend and AVB says that Chelsea will suffer without captain John Terry, who begins a four match suspension on Saturday.

Obviously you have to make sure to take into account that this is an extremely good player, an experienced player and Chelsea’s captain,’….. ‘A player of this dimension always is surely missed.’

It’s such a tough game to call with both teams in good form. We have gone for the draw at 2/1. Have a look at the soccersweep accumulator for the weekend and click this link or a William Hill banner on this page to sign up and join in. This week you could make over £5000 from a solitary squid.
