Chelsea’s next major signing?

Chesea fans will have kept a keen eye, over the last couple of days, on the intensifying speculation regarding the future of Sami Khedira.

With Tony Kroos coming in at Real Madrid e likelihood of Khedira staying at the club seems to be waning somewhat. If he does leave Real Madrid this summer there will surely be more than one suitor for his signature.

He had a brilliant World Cup, despite that long injury layoff, and looks as if he has returned to his very best form.

We think that Ramirez can do a great job alongside Nemanja Matic in the defensive midfield berths but Chelsea may well look to add one more name in that area of their squad.

And there are few better box to box players than Khedira. Despite that long injury his fitness was sensational in the heat of Brazil – he looked as if he’d never been out of the game.

The other really interesting thing from Chelsea’s point of view is that he gets up and supports the forwards as well shielding the defence. Khedira also provides a decent goal threat.

He is approaching what we would call ‘the complete midfielder’ and we think Chelsea should definitely put out all the stops to sign him.

The Daily Mail continues to suggest that Chelsea might have stolen a march on Arsenal and could now be at the head of the queue to sign a player.

They say:

Sami Khedira could become Chelsea’s next summer signing as German’s agent reveals no deal has been struck with Arsenal

Let’s have a look at some Khedira magic. Chelsea fans: would this be the final piece in the title jigsaw?

I think if we talk of a box to box midfielder then we need to go in for Blaise Matuidi of PSG fame.

For Chelsea to add to our mid-field option, we need to get rid of Mikel & Ramires. This will give room to Khedira & Pogba (a good upgrade for Ramires). Its not bad having the likes of Matic, Pogba, Khedira, Fab, Ginkel n Romeu, as we all know squad dept is what matters most for any big club playing in EPL due to too many matches and no winter break.
