Tottenham: Top striker signing at last? Report

Roberto Soldado scored this week and gave us a reminder that his career could easily get back on track at Tottenham under new management. He’s a deadly finisher given the right service.

But even if he hits top form and is absolutely on fire for the rest of the season, Tottenham will still need another striker before September as cover for their main man.

And reports today suggest that they may be close to signing a player who will certainly push Soldado and Adebayor hard for a place as the main number nine in the team.

The Daily Star says:

Loic Remy could be on his way to Tottenham as £11m bid is prepared for French striker
TOTTENHAM are lining up a late swoop for Loic Remy – even though they are being forced to pay a premium.

He’s a brilliant striker and he has already proved that he can excel in The Premier League. You imagine that he would been snapped up already had it not been for unspecified concerns that Liverpool, and potentially Arsenal, had.

But QPR manager Harry Redknapp is adamant that there is nothing physically wrong with the player and if he is fit then Tottenham should certainly take him – even at £11m.

He’s pacey, has great technique and a natural affinity with the net. At 27 he’s scored goals for Marseille, Newcastle and the France national team (5 in 24). So his CV is decent and you feel that he is about to really blossom.

We think it would a great deal for a Tottenham squad which really needs another top striker if the club is going to have a realistic chance of top 4.

Let’s see the lad in action. Spurs fans: worth a punt?

Why is Harry so concerned about Spurs signing Remy he has courted Remy to Spurs for a long long time now , if the player is so good according to Harry what really happened at Liverpool why don`t Newcastle come calling and QPR certainly don`t want him , the way Harry praises him why don`t he refuse to let him go and take up a stance over the player like Southampton something stinks is Harry trying to trap Spurs for the past and him not getting the England job or what be on alert Spurs .
