Real Madrid’s new No.1 transfer target?

Real Madrid fans really are the fortunate ones as every close season their club tends to target one of the best players in the world.

It’s a transfer policy that doesn’t necessarily always work. But with La Decima in the bag Real Madrid will probably have no reason to alter their methods this summer.

There’s been a lot of speculation linking Luis Suarez with Real Madrid, but he has once again publicly committed his future to the Merseyside club month.

Of course this hasn’t stopped Madrid in the past, but they may well switch their attention to another striker, rather than potentially wasting time.

Another name that has been in the frame and has been linked again this week is Sergio Aguero Manchester City.

No striker in the world compares favourably to Suarez right now but Sergio Aguero is easily one of the best in the business.

He always seems a yard quicker than the opposition and his striking prowess is sensational.

We have always admired Karim Benzema but, in soccersweep’s view, he tends to go missing at certain points in games. The same could rarely be said of Sergio Aguero during his time in England.

He’s always at the top end of the scoring charts and is a constant thorn in the side of even City’s biggest rivals. The Argetine doesn’t only turn it on against the minnows. He scores valuable goals against the big boys too – a true sign of real class.

Real Madrid will have a similarly difficult job trying to sign this player from one of the richest clubs in the world. But it could to be a marginally easier task than snaring Suarez at this point in time.

Aguero may not be quite as good as the Uruguayan but, for our money, he’s a definite upgrade on Benzema.

Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Real Madrid fans: would you welcome Aguero’s signature?
