With Barcelona now appearing favourites to sign Luis Suarez it seems that Real Madrid will be concentrating on other targets this summer.
Germany legend Lothar Matthaus has suggested strongly that the deal for Toni Kroos to go to Real Madrid is now almost complete.
That is a fantastic signing for the club as Kroos can offer top quality in various positions in the team.
But you feel that there is always one megadeal in waiting at Real Madrid every summer and perhaps this year it could be for midfield maestro Paul Pogba.
He was wonderful at The World Cup and really proved that, even though he’s still young, he can command a whole game. He moves with all the elegance of a gazelle, rarely concedes possession and has a penchant for scoring spectacular goals.
He’s also got great pace and a wonderful engine. He looks every bit the world star in the making.
Reports in Spain today suggest that a deal for the player could well be in the offing and that a swap deal involving Angel Di Maria could be on. Marca says:

We really do believe that Real Madrid will be signing a player who could become a legend at the club if they do move for Pogba. He won’t be cheap but his price would be offset somewhat by the fact that, at 21, he would have a decent sell on fee if he did leave the club.
