Real Madrid eyeing a major addition – report

Real Madrid already have some excellent central defenders in Pepe, Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane.

The latter of the three has been subject to some transfer speculation this summer but we expect him to stay at Real Madrid after having such a good season last time out

Reports this week in marker suggested Real Madrid might look to add another centre back this summer. Marca says:

Real are sure that Iñigo is their man and know that the player would be delighted to jump ship. There is, however, a big ‘but’. Negotiating with Real Sociedad, as shown by the Illarra deal, is to say the least a challenge – the club will in all probability just nod towards the €30 million release clause that the player has in his contract.

They aren’t desperate in that area but when a player this good comes along you have to pay attention and Real Madrid certainly are.

He’s one of the most talented defenders you will ever see. Not just good at keeping the ball out of his own goal but also great at sticking it in the opposition net. He has magnificent technique and can hit pinpoint passes (and shots, as seen in the video below) from anywhere.

Real Madrid fans will surely have seen his two unbelievable goals from his own half and the fact that he is doing such things at such a young age must surely mean that a great career beckons.

If his club did agree to let him go there would be no shortage of suitors but Real Madrid seems like one of the most obvious destinations for the player.

Let’s have a look at the kid in action. Real Madrid fans: is this guy the future of the defence for the club?
