Real Madrid: Another big signing imminent?

Real Madrid fans cannot have helped but to be impressed by the performance in Cardiff on Tuesday against Sevilla in the European Super Cup.

Sevilla were plucky and enjoyed some nice passages of play but, overall, the scoreline didn’t really reflect the dominance and beauty in the general play of Real Madrid.

James Rodriguez only showed glimpses of his quality but Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema were majestic and played some really mouth-watering football.

Even on this performance, so early in the season, Madrid are making a compelling case to retain their Champions League crown and win La Liga back.

But we still think that there is one weakness. When they come up against tougher opposition they will be under more pressure in defence and serious questions will be asked of their under-fire keeper Iker Casillas.

We think that Real Madrid need to be ruthless about this one and there is an obvious solution out there.

The Daily Mail reports:

Chelsea braced for Petr Cech bids from Real Madrid, PSG and Monaco… if Blues keeper loses his starting spot to Thibaut Courtois

Having seen this guy perform in The Premier League for the last decade we strongly believe that he is as good as it gets in terms of goalkeepers. At 32 years of age he’s got so much experience but retains all of his presence, most of his agility and he would certainly not let Madrid down next season.

As far as we’re concerned, it’s the final piece in the jigsaw and the piece that will almost guarantee Madrid major trophies again come May.

Let’s see some of his highlights. Madrid fans: keen?
