Picture – why Liverpool will finish in the top 4

With Suarez and Sturridge upfront this is Liverpool’s best chance to win the league in 20 years

It may seem simplistic but it really is this clear to us. If Liverpool can keep Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge fit they will finish in the top four this season.

They may not have a squad as strong as Tottenham, Arsenal or Manchester United. They may not have a 1st XI as good as Manchester City or Chelsea. But what they do have is two top-class strikers who can outscore most opposition.

This means that Liverpool, at last, can be play badly and win anyway. We think that Arsenal should be fearful this weekend as Liverpool travel up to The Emirates.

Because Liverpool look like a side that isn’t scared to play anybody right now. They are superseding The Gunners as the Premier League’s in form side. And they look like they just can’t wait for the next match to come around. We at soccersweep think they will get a result at The Emirates this weekend. They are solid enough to keep it tight and will counter with deadly force.

The two major questions moving forward are: can Liverpool keep Sturridge fit and can they keep Suarez at the club? As mercenary as the Uruguayan may be his main concern seems to be to be winning. Liverpool look as if they could be successful right now and Luis Suarez looks like the happiest guy in red.

But there is bound to be interest for him again in the winter window and hopefully he won’t get unsettled by the speculation this time round. Sturridge seems a bit more injury prone than his strike partner and Brendan Rodgers desperately needs to keep both fit if Liverpool are going to finish in the top four.

But we believe that this can be a watershed season for Liverpool. They were banging on the door when Fernando Torres was leading the line in 2009 and possibly had a better 11 then. But with Suarez and Sturridge up front we think that this is Liverpool’s best chance to win the league in 20 years.

Liverpool fans – let’s have your thoughts on this one.
