PICTURE: Strongest Arsenal XI vs Burnley + 2 back from injury?

Home Win

Arsenal have a difficult fixture at the weekend against Burnley. Anything other than a comfortable win will be seen as a disappointment and, having not yet registered a single Premier League victory this season, Burnley will be desperate for a good performance.

We can’t imagine them getting anything at Arsenal – this is the sort of opposition that suits The Gunners at home. They will try to out pass and out manoeuvre the opposition. An early goal should put paid to any resistance.

That said, Arsenal’s injury problems just won’t go away. The list of crocked includes Gibbs, Diaby, Ospina, Koscielny, Ozil, Sanago, Debuchy and Giroud. Latest reports suggest that Arsenal are hopeful over Gibbs for this weekend.

On the positive side of things, Mikel Arteta is likely to be in the squad for the weekend, as is Theo Walcott.

The latter really could be the difference for Arsenal this season. After years of flattering to deceive at the top level, Walcott was sensational before his injury – he finally looked to have matured into the player we all hoped he would become.

We would love to see him start this game but perhaps it’s more sensible to ease him in. Either way, expect him to get some game time this weekend. Once he’s firing again Arsenal can expect fireworks.

So here is our best eleven for Burnley this weekend. Arsenal fans: let us know how you would set up for this one.
