If you read any of what you believe in the papers then it seems Newcastle will be focusing on strengthening their front line in this transfer window.

With the now seemingly inevitable departure of Loic Remy Newcastle need to reinforce the top of the park quickly.

Ayoze Perez has reportedly signed for Newcastle this week but that won’t be the end of their investment – you would sincerely not hope anyway.

On player who is being linked in the latest news cycle is Majeed Waris. The Daily Express says:

Newcastle and West Brom interested in Ghana striker Majeed Waris

NEWCASTLE and West Brom plan a World Cup spying mission on Ghana striker Majeed Waris.

The 22 year old played fora while as a kid in England , first at Hartpury College and then at Forest Green Rovers.

In his fairly short professional career he’s already been around the block a little bit. He played for two years from 2010 at Swedish club BK Hacken where he really caught the eye scoring 26 in 55.

In 2013 he moved to Spartak Moscow but went on loan after 11 games and 1 goal to Valencienne where he has scored 9 goals in just 15 league games.

He’s been successful and impressive enough to play 9 games for a strong Ghana side since his debut in 2012. And he’s already bagged 4 goals for the national side – this guy knows where the goal is.

Let’s have a look at him an action. Newcastle fans should to be signing players like this or raising the bar and bringing more high profile strikers in?
