Manchester United want these 3 after Herrera says Broadsheet

Underwhelming?

The Telegraph today suggests that Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Ander Herrera after the player passed a medical at Old Trafford.

Herrera to be first of four United signings

With that one seemingly done the broadsheet implies that Manchester United have four other targets this summer, of which they will sign at least three.

Let’s run the rule over them.

Luke Shaw – Manchester United fans must be fed up of hearing about this one. ESPN says that Manchester United are in advanced talks to sign the player but that the fee still hasn’t been agreed.

What is for certain is that Manchester United should not be haggling over a couple of million pounds because they’ll be extremely lucky to sign a player this calibre. At 18 he can go straight into the first team and Manchester United won’t have to worry about buying another left back for 15 years.

Nigel De Jong – The 29-year-old left Manchester City couple of years ago and has done great job in Italy at AC Milan. At The World Cup too he’s been a real star – the personification of hard work and discipline – who marshals the midfield and allows Hollands many creators to bomb forward. He would be an excellent addition to Manchester United.

Mats Hummels – The 25 year old German would represent a very solid signing for Manchester United – if they can manage to snare him from Borussia Dortmund. Perhaps not as good as Mangala, but better than Miranda, he could become a stalwart for Manchester United for the next five or six years.

The article suggests another potential signing:

Daily Blind – one of the standout performers at The World Cup this guy has a wand of a left foot and can play on the left wing or at left back.

Manchester United fans: If this was the sum of United’s summer activity would you be satisfied?

Forget Luke Shaw, sign Blind. £34m is too much for a young player of such. It is better to sign two full-back with such fee.
