Man U Manchester United signed RvP 18 months ago but it was at Arsenal that he made his name as a world class striker. A stop start season for RvP. But he's still amongst the best finishers in the game.

Manchester United: These 6 superstars mooted to leave this summer

It will be very interesting to see how RvP reacts to the press now that he is with his international team mates rather than under the Manchester United spotlight.

Increasingly, RvP has seemed unhappy at Manchester United, throwing his toys out of his pram at the first sign of trouble. In truth the stroppy Dutchman does only have a couple of years left at the top and will want to make them count.

But, after making such a controversial move to Manchester United in the first place, you would have thought he would stick it out. Whoever is manager next season, there is bound to be a huge amount of player investment, so it can’t be as bad as it has been this term.

Anyway, reports today suggest that RvP could be one of 6 high profile players leaving Manchester United this summer.

Rio Ferdinand will follow Nemanja Vidic and Anderson out of Old Trafford, and there are serious question marks over the futures of Patrice Evra, Robin van Persie, Shinji Kagawa, Nani and Javier Hernandez.

Rio – A true Manchester United legend. He should be allowed to extend his career at the club and help the next generation. BAD MOVE

Evra – Ditto. His powers on the field are waning but he’s a part of the Manchester United family and has much to offer the youngsters. BAD MOVE

RvP – His time on international duty will be crucial to his future at Manchester United. More disparaging remarks about the club and it could be the end of his time at United. BAD MOVE

Kagawa – Hasn’t been used enough or properly. Manchester United should want players of this quality in their squad but Moyes doesn’t seem keen – BAD MOVE

Nani – What! He’s still at the club?? Has done next to nothing for the last 2 seasons. Absolute disgrace that he is still on the wage bill. GOOD MOVE

Chicharito – He’s a very popular figure but we don’t believe that the player has fulfilled his potential after a magnificent first season. His touch can let him down and he can get knocked off the ball too easily. We think it could be time to say farewell. GOOD MOVE
