Manchester United: Moyes says one deal sorted

It may not be the transfer news Manchester United fans are waiting for but hopefully it will get the wheels turning in the January transfer window.

Manchester United are absolutely desperate for more midfielders and the fact that they are allowing one to leave might suggest that they have others lined up to arrive.

The news this afternoon is that Anderson has finally sorted out his move to Fiorentina on an initial six-month loan.

In his press conference this afternoon Manchester United boss David Moyes talked about the reasons for the Brazilian’s departure. The Guardian Reports:

Moyes also confirmed a loan deal was in place for the midfielder Anderson to join the Serie A club Fiorentina for the remainder of the campaign. “He has not been able to get as many games as he would have hoped,” said the Scot. “This is a good opportunity at a good club in a good league. Hopefully he will get some benefit from that.”

The 25 year-old has had a very up-and-down career at Manchester United in seven years at the club. One of his highlights would surely have been scoring a penalty in The Champions League final shootout against Chelsea in 2008. But injury and fitness concerns have precluded him from nailing down a spot in the team on a regular basis. 140 appearances in seven years really says it all.

If he plays out of his skin in Italy there is chance he will come back to Manchester United in the summer but we think that his career at the champions is probably now over.

Let’s remind ourselves of his highlights as a Manchester United player. United fans are you sorry to see Anderson depart? And considering that Manchester United haven’t brought any midfielders in is it a wise move?

Heard that DM will be paying 50M for another Everton player who is not even world class. Sick of this idiot. I stop supporting the club if he stays in the club. End my 50 years of allegiance to the club. I hope other fans will boycott the club matches.

I must clarify that comment is not directed at Anderson, rather this large group of expectant, impatient, so-called Manchester United fans that Syed is evidently part of.

Say what 50 years? And u have such words to say.. I have supported MU for about 8 years now, when all we reaped was success. We young men of today should be the ones yakking and complaining like the spoiled/spoilt brats we are(in terms of MU success in recent years) not older nd more ‘wiser’ men like u…. I haven’t been to OT in my life and its still a life long dream of mine to one day watch a live game there.. No disrespect but I’m disappointed (not that u will care what a mere 23year old says) M.U 4eva & aLWayS…

Rooney was an Everton player… And any team dose not need a fan like you. 50 years you were probably calling for fergusons head too… Alls great when the goings good.. Real fans are the ones that would still go if they were in the 3rd division not jumping ship when there is some rocky moments … So fellow fans man the fuck up and push the team to greater things don’t pull it down that’s what opposition loves!

The entire Everton team doesn’t even worth a 50M. The guy is only making money for his former club

Hey, if anyone thinks moyes is good u fukin crazy he’s put us in a right mess, he spent 25 million on fellaini who wouldnt get into any top 4 team never mind us champions and nevrr mind barkley he aint gunna bother coming to us, he will stay with everton for sometime. If anyone is to blame its fergie why the hell did he give him the job, he has been managing for almost three decades and couldnt recognise a shit manager, he has had no success never reached champions league and you give him the man u job, and anderson thank god he’s gone he needs a wipe out that first 11, rooney januzaj van persie, cleverly jones, valencia, young, kagawa are all shit look at man city there bench players would get into our first 11 worst team i seen play, i was surprised they won a league last year with this team, that was all fergie magic and the league is much stronger today than last season man united your shit LOL stand and support, you all have the same thought as me when u wtch dem play so saying you should stand with moyes piss off, he’s shit you know it whole world knows it, the world is laughing at us, at a team which was obe if the best just six months ago moyes u basterd!!!!!

    OK. Here goes nothing.
I’ve been a lifelong United fan having followed the team since the mid 70’s so I’ve seen my fair share of ups and downs. I was stood in the United 3rd of the Kippax watching us get murdered by the bitters in ’89 with me joining other reds in shouting “Fergie out!”. I was stood in the paddock at Old Trafford watching us scrape to a 1-0 victory over Wimbledon when less than 20,000 fans turned out on a weekday evening. I then witnessed over 2 decades of us wiping the floor with both domestic and European competition (OK, mainly domestic) with players such as Keane, Cantona, Ronaldo et al gracing the famous red shirt.
My personal view is that we’re suffering from a lack of investment. Pure and simple. Ever since the double Glaziers spent other peoples cash in acquiring our football club we’ve never been able to really compete in the transfer market.
I can only think of one world class player who we’ve bought since the takeover, RVP, and he’s arguably approaching the final phase of his career.
I don’t blame Moyes. I don’t blame Fergie. I don’t even blame the players (apart from Ando who has a ridiculously large arse for a supposedly professional footballer). I blame our owners.
Unfortunately I can’t see them leaving for a good while yet. Why should they? There’s plenty more for the taking in the cash cow that is Manchester United.

Your choice is to stick to red and white or, as someone on this blog so eloquently stated, “f&ck off and support Chelsea”.

There. I feel a whole lot better.

I am a manutd fans, but I hate our policy of only choosing player on ” been British ” .. my goodness me, did we let pogba go cos of shit cleverly? did we ditch snijder cos of shit cleverly?… gush!!! just look at city, they don’t give a fuck about english or British shit players… just look at their attractive football style and how they are raping every team…. am not watching football base on been a fans of a team but base on how attractive the team play….. mancity is given me joy.

I must say. What a well thought out and compelling response.

I refer you to my earlier comment regarding alternative teams to support.

Rizzla, u must have been frustrated in those three-four years b4 Fergie started winning trophies!? I’m sure the board kept faith in him because of what he did @ st Mirren and Arbedene. I mean he(Fergie) broke the dorminance of Celtic and Rangers in Scotland which was no small achievment, plus winning the European Cup! The man demanded nothing but the very best from his players, even from a winning position. He was a winner!!! That is why the board kept faith in him. Unfortunately, the same is not the case with the current manager so he may not have as much time as Fergie

Valid point Michael but although I her a lot of cries of “Moyes out!” I don’t hear any suggestions of who the replacement should be.

I for one would stick with the man and give him time and cash to see if he can turn things around.

Ever the optimist I know but 2 albeit improbable wins in the next 4 days would go a long way towards changing things.

If we can then get our only 2 world class players back from injury then we might see some genuine improvement.
